Welcome to Noted Magazine! Today, we’re thrilled to have pop sensation Zac Wilson with us. Zac’s recent tour has been a whirlwind of excitement and emotion, and we’re here to dive deep into his experiences. Thanks for joining us, Zac!
Zac Wilson: Thank you so much for having me! It’s great to be here.
Noted: Let’s start with your recent tour. How would you describe the overall experience of being on the road for this tour?
Zac Wilson: It’s been an incredible journey. This tour has been more than just a series of performances; it’s felt like a celebration of the connection I have with my fans. Every city has brought its own unique energy, and it’s been amazing to see how different places respond to the music. From the adrenaline of the live shows to the quiet moments of reflection in between, it’s been a whirlwind of highs and lows.
Noted: Can you tell us about a particularly memorable moment from the tour?
Zac Wilson: Absolutely. There was this one night in Chicago where we had a surprise guest appearance. A local choir joined me on stage for the encore, and the entire crowd was singing along. The energy was electric, and it felt like a huge collective moment where everything just clicked. It’s those spontaneous, unexpected moments that really make touring special.
Noted: How did you prepare for this tour compared to your previous ones?
Zac Wilson: This time around, we wanted to push the boundaries a bit. We incorporated new technology into the show, like augmented reality visuals, which required a lot of behind-the-scenes work. Physically, I had to ramp up my fitness regime to keep up with the demanding schedule. But beyond that, it was about making sure the setlist was diverse and engaging, reflecting both my new music and the hits that fans love.
Noted: Meeting fans seems to be a big part of your tour. How do you typically interact with them, and what has been the most rewarding part of these interactions?
Zac Wilson: Meeting fans is one of my favorite parts of touring. I try to engage with them as much as possible, whether it’s through meet-and-greet sessions, social media interactions, or just chatting after shows. The most rewarding part is hearing their personal stories and how the music has impacted their lives. It’s humbling and reminds me why I do what I do. There’s one fan in particular who’s been coming to every show for years, and their dedication really touched me. We ended up having a long conversation after the show, and it was moments like that that make the whole tour worthwhile.
Noted: Have you had any particularly unique fan interactions or surprising gifts?
Zac Wilson: Oh, definitely. One fan knitted me this incredible scarf with the album art woven into it. I was blown away by the craftsmanship and the thoughtfulness behind it. And there was this one time a fan brought a custom-made album-shaped cake to a meet-and-greet, which was both surprising and delicious!
Noted: How do you handle the challenges of staying connected with fans while maintaining your own personal space?
Zac Wilson: It’s a balancing act for sure. I try to set boundaries to protect my personal time, but I also make a conscious effort to be present and available for fans. I schedule time specifically for fan interactions and try to be as responsive as I can within those limits. It’s important to stay grounded and make sure that I’m taking care of myself as well.
Noted: Looking back on the tour, is there anything you would have done differently?
Zac Wilson: Every tour teaches you something new. If I could change anything, I might have adjusted the pacing of the setlist to give the band and myself a bit more of a breather. But overall, it’s been an amazing experience. You learn and grow from each tour, and I’m excited to take those lessons into future projects.
Noted: Finally, what’s next for you after the tour? Any upcoming projects or new music on the horizon?
Zac Wilson: I’m actually in the process of working on new material right now. I’ve been experimenting with different sounds and collaborating with some incredible artists. I’m also planning to take some time off to recharge and reflect before diving into the next phase. I’m excited about what’s coming next and can’t wait to share it with everyone.
Noted: That sounds fantastic! We’re excited to see what’s next for you. Thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us, Zac.
Zac Wilson: Thank you! It’s been a pleasure.
